In a disturbing, yet heartwarming story, the dedicated care of veterinarians and an outpouring of support from the public come together to save a cat severely burned in the recent RV fire in Ballard:
Excerpt from KOMO NEWS:
"..The cat, a black, longhaired family pet named Memow, had burns so severe that his eyes were swollen shut. Wallace picked up the kitten and carried him a few blocks away to the Ballard Animal Hospital, where she works as a veterinarian. In her 10 years of medicine, Wallace says she's never seen a case quite like this.
"This is probably one of the more disturbing, heart-wrenching, and intense medical cases," Wallace said. "He's getting better every day but he's probably going to be in the hospital for maybe close to a month."
